The inaugural Ayrburn Classic Festival of Motoring - coming in 2025

A festival of motoring set to captivate visitors with world-class vehicles, fabulous dining, and entertainment experiences debuting in March 2025.

Queenstown, NZ: New Zealand’s newest motoring event, the Ayrburn Classic, will make its debut in 2025, offering an unforgettable celebration of automotive innovation and heritage set against the stunning backdrop of Queenstown.

Taking place from Friday 21st March to Sunday 23rd March, the festival will coincide with Otago Anniversary Weekend, drawing motoring aficionados and luxury lifestyle enthusiasts to Ayrburn, a 160-year-old wheat, sheep and dairy farm transformed into one of New Zealand’s finest hospitality precincts in the historic village of Arrowtown.

An impressive array of classic and modern luxury vehicles will be on display, with a festival vibe brought by live entertainment, fine dining, and immersive experiences. The Ayrburn Classic will showcase both the exceptional craftsmanship of New Zealand’s automotive industry, and the latest offerings from globally recognised luxury marques.

“We’re excited to introduce the Ayrburn Classic as a premier event on New Zealand’s calendar,” says Chris Meehan, founder and CEO Ayrburn’s owner, Winton. “This festival will not only feature the best of local and global classic and luxury motoring scene, but also world-class dining and live entertainment, all set within the breathtaking grounds of Ayrburn.”

A Festival of Motoring

Set across three days, the first being exclusive to entrants, judges and invited guests, the Ayrburn Classic will showcase a stunning range of classic, vintage and modern luxury cars.

A highlight of the event will be the Showcase on the Dell, where the most captivating cars on show will complete a parade lap before being presented on stage, with the owner interviewed by the MC. In addition to these, attendees will experience a range of engaging exhibits and activations that bring the world of motoring to life.

A special tribute to New Zealand’s motoring heritage, the Kiwi Pioneers segment will celebrate the country’s rich automotive history and contribution to the international industry.

Entertainment & Lifestyle

Beyond the motoring spectacle, attendees at the Ayrburn Classic will enjoy live music performances and DJ sets throughout the weekend, alongside exceptional dining experiences and wine tastings from Ayrburn’s restaurants, bars, and food trucks.

Headlining the entertainment is renowned country singer-songwriter Miranda Easten, celebrated for her heartfelt country ballads and as the host of the Southern Cross Country Workday radio show. Beyond her musical talents, Miranda is also a passionate car enthusiast and proud owner of an original DeLorean.

Exclusive VIP spaces and functions will cater to those seeking a premium experience, while lawn games, displays, and even a best-dressed competition broaden the appeal

Drawing inspiration from iconic international motoring events in the UK and USA, the Ayrburn Classic will bring together the world of automotive excellence with luxury hospitality. Guests can expect an unforgettable fusion of remarkable vehicles, fine dining, live entertainment, and a sophisticated atmosphere that will set this event apart on the national calendar.

“Ayrburn embodies our commitment to celebrating the stories of the past by giving them a new future… "It is not just a destination, it’s an invitation to have fun and experience the best of New Zealand’s food, wine and hospitality in a place chosen 160 years ago for being one of the country’s most stunning locations,” says Meehan.
