Ayrburn Classic Festival of Motoring Terms and Conditions

Ayrburn Precinct Limited (“Ayrburn”, “we", "us" and "our”) owns and operates ayrburnclassic.com (our “Website”) and the 2025 Ayrburn Classic.  

Our website allows you to apply to enter your vehicle into the Event, and to purchase access passes and Event tickets.  All entries and orders by you are subject to these Terms and Conditions.

Thank you for reading our Terms and Conditions, which apply to your access and use of our Website and all entries and orders placed with us (the “Services”). By entering, purchasing or placing an order with us, or otherwise accessing or using the Services, you agree that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions.  We may from time to time revise the Terms and Conditions without notice and such revision will take effect when it is posted on the Website.  Your continued use of the Website will be regarded as your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions as amended.

1.      Throughout the Terms and Conditions, you will be referred to as the “Entrant” or “you”.

2.      Vehicle Eligibility to enter the Event.

2.1.  A registered road-legal vehicle with current WOF, of a recognised marque, which must be at least three years old from the date of manufacture.  The competing vehicle will be owned by the Entrant.    

2.2.  The following vehicle categories are excluded:

(a) Replicas, ‘resto-mods’ and ‘specials’, except for entries into the ‘Unique & Exotic’ class; and

(b) Commercial trucks and HGVs.

3.      General Event Conditions: 

3.1.  All entries must be received via the 2025 Ayrburn Classic website on the entry form no later than 5pm 28th February 2025.  

3.2.  Only entries made via the 2025 Ayrburn Classic website will be accepted. 

3.3.  After completing the entry form, the Entrant will receive an email requesting supporting documentation. Two good quality photographs and a short description of the vehicle being entered must be supplied. 

3.4.  Entries in the Event are only considered complete and confirmed following receipt of the $300 entry fee.

3.5.  The entry fee is non-refundable, except in the case of the Event being cancelled at the sole discretion of Ayrburn.

3.6.  Late entries may be accepted at the sole discretion of Ayrburn.

3.7.  Ayrburn in consultation with the judging team, reserves the right to alter the competition class of an entered vehicle to a more suitable competition class. 

3.8.  Entrants may make themselves available to answer questions from the judging team should they require any information about the competing vehicle.  Other than that, no discussions are to be entered into with Ayrburn and/or the judging team. 

3.9.  Judging criteria will be published on the Event website.

3.10.  The decisions of the Chief Judge and judging team are final and binding. 

3.11.  All competing vehicles must arrive before 8.30am and remain in place until at least 5.00pm on both Saturday 22 March 2025 and Sunday 23 March 2025, unless otherwise determined and advised by Ayrburn. 

3.12.  Vehicles may be trailered to the Event but must be road-legal and be capable of being able to be driven under their own power and satisfy the conditions contained in clause 2 above.

3.13.  All vehicles presented for judging must have their doors, sunroofs and windows closed and all doors, bonnet, boot and interior compartments unlocked.  Vehicles of open or drop head coupe configuration must have soft tops erected when presented for judging.  Boots should be emptied of tools, jacks and spare wheels which shall be separately displayed for judging.

3.14.  No preparation or cleaning of vehicles is permitted once judging has commenced apart from removal of dust and leaves etc that have fallen on the displays during the Event. 

3.15.  Judging will be held at the time stipulated by Ayrburn, as published on the Ayrburn Classic website and in the official Event programme.   

3.16.  All vehicles being entered for the competitions will be directed on the arrival day by Event officials to the designated feature class location at the Event. 

3.17.  It is specifically required that between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm, competitors shall not move any vehicle within the Event area unless specifically authorised and escorted by an Event official or a member of the Ayrburn team.  

3.18.  Ayrburn will provide professional security overnight (10pm-6am) for the duration of the Event, however Entrants will be responsible for the security of their own vehicles.

3.19.  Entrants must effect and maintain full value motor vehicle insurance for their own vehicles. The Entrant acknowledges and accepts that they park all vehicles at their own risk and Ayrburn has no liability whatsoever in respect to the same.

3.20.  The Event will be held wet or fine. 

3.21.  Entrants will be supplied with 2 GA passes per vehicle for their own use.

3.22.  All others will pay normal public admission prices.  Children under 12 years of age are admitted free. 

3.23.  The public will be admitted between the hours of 10:00am and 6:00pm, or as determined by Ayrburn. 

4.      Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by, and will be construed in accordance with, New Zealand law.

5.      Disclaimers and Limitation

Use of the Website by you is at your sole risk.  Any information provided on the Website has been provided as information about Ayrburn.  While Ayrburn provides the information on the Website in good faith, we are not responsible for any reliance by you on any information contained in or accessed through the Website.  Ayrburn accepts no liability for any cost or damages of any kind resulting from the use of the Website.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ayrburn gives no warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise, including warranties or representations that the Website or any data, information, advice, opinion, service or product provided, obtained or generated by or through the Website will be complete, accurate, reliable, timely or error-free or that the Website will be secure and provide un-interrupted access, and any such representations or warranties  are expressly disclaimed.
