We’re delighted to welcome Shaun Summerfield back as Master of Ceremonies for the Ayrburn Classic 2027.

 

A respected journalist, broadcaster and lifelong car enthusiast, Shaun has spent decades across television, radio and print and now heads Communications & Public Relations for the Giltrap Group.

 

With deep roots in New Zealand’s automotive world, Shaun brings genuine motoring knowledge, personality and plenty of energy to the Classic. His easy-going yet authoritative style makes him a natural behind the mic, engaging drivers, owners and spectators while uncovering the stories behind the cars.

 

We’re thrilled to have Shaun back for 2027.

Our Ambassador

Ben Selby is an automotive writer, content creator and passionate car enthusiast with more than 15 years’ experience covering classic and modern motoring. His work regularly features in Metropol, New Zealand Classic Car Magazine, Tarmac Life and other leading publications.

 

Part of the Ayrburn Classic team since 2025, Ben joined the judging panel in 2026 and returns for 2027 as an Official Ayrburn Classic Ambassador.

 

With a deep appreciation for automotive history, elegant design and the stories behind remarkable cars, Ben brings infectious enthusiasm and extensive motoring knowledge to the Classic, helping connect enthusiasts, clubs and collectors with the event.

Our Ambassador

Quinton Taylor is Editor and Brand Manager of New Zealand Classic Car magazine and an Official Ambassador for the Ayrburn Classic 2027.

 

A lifelong motoring enthusiast, Quinton grew up immersed in cars and motorsport, developing a particular passion for classic Jaguars and historic racing. His automotive experiences span everything from meeting Sir Stirling Moss at Wigram to driving a Maserati 250F at Teretonga.

 

With decades of knowledge, storytelling and connections across New Zealand’s classic motoring community, Quinton brings genuine passion and experience to the Ayrburn Classic, helping grow its profile and strengthen relationships with collectors, clubs and enthusiasts nationwide.
